THE HAY PATROLLERS© operates at the frontline of community safety, working directly in public spaces such as shopping centres, transport hubs, schools, and neighbourhoods. Members actively engage with young people at risk, offering guidance, support, and a positive alternative to crime, while contributing to safer, more harmonious communities.
Members carry out a wide range of meaningful activities, including:
Assisting vulnerable members of the public and providing a supportive presence in local neighborhoods.
Collaborating with schools to reduce bullying and truancy through peer-to-peer accountability.
Maintaining clean and safe public spaces while engaging with youth to deter antisocial behaviour.
These responsibilities build confidence, accountability, and employability in real-world environments.
THE HAY PATROLLERS© aims to promote harmony among youth, creating safer communities.
Our mission is to deliver cost-effective, community-based services while developing the skills, discipline, and mindset required for long-term success. We focus on professional community support to ensure a lasting positive impact.
At THE HAY PATROLLERS, our mission is to empower young people to become positive role models within their communities by providing meaningful opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow.
Through community service, mentoring, education, and practical life experiences, we help young people develop confidence, responsibility, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic. We are committed to creating safer, stronger, and more connected communities while supporting participants on pathways towards education, employment, training, and long-term success.
Building Pride. Creating Opportunities. Strengthening Communities.
What sets THE HAY PATROLLERS© apart is its visible, hands-on presence within the community.
By placing young people in structured roles alongside professionals and community stakeholders, the programme builds trust, reduces fear, and demonstrates that young people can become part of the solution — not the problem.
Based on a successful real-life youth crime prevention program, supporting local businesses, THE HAY PATROLLERS© is a story of struggle, redemption, and a fight for justice.
The Hay Patrollers©, created by Brian Montgomery, Brymon Consulting, is a unique, community-led youth crime prevention initiative designed to engage young people aged 12–24, acting like Youth Liaison Advisors, in structured, supervised activities that promote responsibility, discipline, and opportunity. The programme focuses on reducing antisocial behaviour, gang involvement, and knife crime by providing clear pathways into education, employment, and personal development.
